Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) Master

The latest UFGS Master is available to download from the Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG). The UFGS are a joint effort of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), and the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (HQ AFCEC). UFGS are for use in specifying construction for the military services.

The UFGS are published only in electronic format and are intended to be used with SpecsIntact software. The UFGS Master complies with UFC 1-300-02. SpecsIntact supports the UFGS format. The UFGS Master is updated and released quarterly in February, May, August, and November.

UFGS Criteria Change Request
Questions, comments, suggestions, and recommended changes for guide specifications are welcome and should be submitted as a Criteria Change Request (CCR). To submit a CCR, click on the CCR link next to the UFGS Section Title.

Unified Master Reference List (UMRL)
This list contains all the references used in the Master specifications of USACE, NAVFAC and AFCEC. It is maintained by IHS Markit. SpecsIntact also includes the latest UMRL; it is distributed with the UFGS Master as the master.ref file. By default, the SpecsIntact Editor uses the UMRL for reference checking and updating.

Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC)
UFC documents provide planning, design, construction, sustainment, restoration, and modernization criteria, and apply to the Military Departments, the Defense Agencies, and the DoD Field Activities.
