The National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) announced the release of the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications UFGS) Master and the Unified Master Reference List (UMRL). The SpecsIntact Team will also update the date for both the UFGS Master and UMRL so the software will now inform our customers to download the latest versions.
The SpecsIntact Interagency Configuration Control and Coordinating Board, made up of representatives from NASA, NAVFAC and USACE, met at KSC Conference Center, Kennedy Space Center, FL. The Board convenes regularly to review requests for changes in the software and set the priorities and direction for the design of the system.

NASA hosted the Joint Agency UFGS Working Group Meeting, made up of representatives from NASA, NAVFAC and USACE. The meeting was held in Chicago, IL in conjunction with the Construct 2011 Conference. Steve Freitas, USACE, Jim Whitehead and Cheryl Fitz-Simon of Abacus and Richard Hungate, URS, gave a presentation on "Automated Specification Processing for Federal Projects and More." The board convenes regularly to set priorities and direction for the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS).

SpecsIntact Version 4.5.0 and ThinApp was released by the development team for download. Both versions now support Automatic Paragraph Numbering and longer Job and Master Names, read more about these exciting new enhancements in the Release Notes that can be found in the web Knowledge Base.
