The National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) announced an Interim Release of the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) Master. A modification to Section 23 07 00 Thermal Insulation for Mechanical Systems was required in order to address a life safety issue involving polyisocyanurate insulation, therefore removing it from this Section. If this Section was used in a job, consider replacing it with the updated version from this release.
The SpecsIntact Team will also update the date for both the UFGS Master and UMRL so the software will now inform our customers to download the latest versions.

The SpecsIntact Interagency Configuration Control and Coordinating Board, made up of representatives from NASA, NAVFAC and USACE, met at National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS), Washington, DC. The Board convenes regularly to review requests for changes in the software and set the priorities and direction for the design of the system.
