SpecsIntact's
new web site was introduced with a new design and added features
like Site Search and Site Map. Feedback or suggestions regarding
the new site can be submitted on the web survey form.
January
26 - 28, 2000 On-site
beta testing of the new SpecsIntact 3 was held at the Kennedy Space
Center. The new software was previewed and tested by representatives
of NASA, Army, Navy, and private firms in preparation for a public
release this year. March
2000 NIBS
releases CCB disc #51 (containing SpecsIntact v.2.9.5). See
important changes in Submittals effective with software v2.9.5.
April
5, 2000
SpecsIntact
v.2.9.6 was released by the development team for download from
the software page. April
6, 2000 The
QuickStart! Guide for new users was released. This
guide was conceived by the SpecsIntact Technical Support staff and
is aimed at helping new users get started with the software.
April
13, 2000 SpecsIntact
v.2.9.7 was released by the development team for distribution on
the CCB disc #52 and download from the software page.
July
18-19, 2000 The
SPECSINTACT Interagency Configuration Control and Coordinating Board,
made up of representatives from NASA, NAVFAC and USACE, met in Washington,
DC. The Board convenes regularly to review requests for changes
in the software and set the priorities and direction for the design
of the system. See
the SI-CCCB meeting minutes.
August
2000 NIBS
released CCB disc #53 (containing SpecsIntact v.2.9.7).
August
2000 The
NASA SPECSINTACT Interagency Configuration Control and Coordinating
Board, made up of representatives from NASA
centers, met at the Kennedy Space Center, FL.
The board meets regularly to consider changes to the NASA
Construction Guide Specifications (Master Text).
September
5, 2000 SpecsIntact
v.2.9.8 was released by the development team for download from the
software page.
September
22, 2000 SpecsIntact
v.2.9.9 was released by the development team for download from the
software page. October
1, 2000 The
area code change for the Kennedy Space Center (home of SpecsIntact)
became mandatory. The old area code (407) was
replaced by the new 321.
October
2000 NIBS
released CCB disc #54 (containing SpecsIntact v.2.9.9).
November
27, 2000 After
five months of testing in real-world work environments, SpecsIntact
3 (beta version) was released on the SI web site for wide-scale
public beta testing.
December
5-6, 2000 The
