Downloading Masters

Masters may be downloaded from the links that are provided from our Web site's Masters page. 

 

You can download full Masters in SpecsIntact backup zip format, enabling quicker integration into the SI Explorer:

 

 

To download an individual Division or Section for use in SpecsIntact:

  1. Before downloading any Master, Division or Section create a destination folder to receive it.

  2. From our Masters web page, select the Local/Regional Master link

  3. Download the individual Division or Section you want, by clicking the image\IMG00001.gif beside it.

  4. When the File Download dialog box appears, choose Save this file to disk, and click OK.

  5. In the Save As dialog box, path to the folder you created in step #1 above, and click Save.

  6. When the download is complete, close your browser and locate the folder containing the Master text .zip file(s) you just downloaded.

  7. Double-click the .zip file to extract the Master text Sections (requires the WINZIP software) and close the folder.

  8. Open SpecsIntact, and from the SI Explorer, open the Create New Master dialog box by either clicking the image\newmbut.gif button on the toolbar or by using the File | New | Master menu option.

  9. Complete the information on the General tab, and click OK.

  10. In the Add Sections dialog box, click the Browse tab and path to the folder containing the downloaded Master text Sections that you extracted from the zip file in step #7 above (you should see them listed in the Sections area in the bottom left corner of the dialog box).

  11. Click the Select All button, then click the Add Sections button. All of the Sections will be added to the new Master you just created and you will see them listed in the right Contents pane of the dialog box.

  12. Click OK and you will see the new Master listed in the left pane of the SI Explorer, with the Sections it contains listed in the right pane.

At any time, you can use the Setup | Connect Masters menu option to control which Masters are displayed in the SpecsIntact Explorer.
