This command allows you to change the font of text for a specified tag.
Formatting changes made from this dialog box are global, and therefore will affect all SpecsIntact files in every Job and Master on your system, not just the file that is open when the change is made. This function should be used with caution, and only by those with a thorough knowledge of SpecsIntact.
Complete all editing before using this function and change fonts prior to processing and printing. If you are uncertain about whether to use this function to format your documents, contact Technical Support before proceeding.
These selections will remain in effect until they are changed again from this dialog box, or until a software upgrade is installed, at which point they will revert to the defaults.
The Font dialog provides the following options:
Name -- Select the name of the text element to format (the tag that corresponds to the text element selected will be automatically displayed in the Tag area).
Font -- Select the font (non-proportional fonts only) to be used for the selected text element. This is a global change that will be set as the new default for all occurrences of text within the specified tag in every .sec file of every Job.
Font Size -- Select the character size for the selected font – inh indicates that the font size is inherited from tags in which the selected tags are contained (caution - font size will effect formatting of your document).
Attributes – Uncheck box for inherit (will take on the font style of the tag in which it is contained) or check box for Persistent (will force the font style on any tag contained within it).
Colors -- C the default colors of selected text elements that are color coded for quick identification within the text during editing, or set-up a new color code for a specific element.
Foreground -- From the list, select the new color for the text within the specified tag.
Background -- From the list, select the new color for the background behind the text within the specified tag.
Sample -- Displays the effect of the choices visible in the Foreground and Background boxes.
Font Style -- Select from Bold, Italic, Superscript, Underline, Strikethrough, and Subscript.
If you want to give individual occurrences of text the following attributes, use the corresponding tag: Bold, Italic, Center, Underline, Superscript, and Subscript.
Default -- Returns the font to the SpecsIntact default for the text element selected (caution – this will not restore inherited font relationships).
Default All – Returns all tags to the default fonts.
