The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) united with the Army Corps of Engineers, (USACE) and the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) by joining the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS), making this the primary database for all government agencies.

The Board convenes regularly to review requests for changes in the UFGS Database and sets the priorities and direction for the design of the guide specifications.
