This command can be executed from the SI Explorer's Setup Menu, Toolbar or keyboard shortcut Ctrl+N.

 

This function lists the MastersA group of standard Agency (Master) Guide Specifications used in the preparation of a Job. found in the connected Working Directories and allows SpecsIntact to search your system for all the Masters you have available and display them by name and location on your system.

Master List

From the list, you can select or deselect Masters you want visible in the SI Explorer by checking or unchecking them in the text box area.  A check means the Master is connected and will be available in the SI Explorer for setting up your Jobs and Masters.

Primary Master

From the drop-down menu, select which of your connected Masters you want to use as your default

SCAN

Searches your system for additional Masters not displayed.

 

Standard Windows Commands

How to Connect Masters:

  1. From the SpecsIntact Explorer, select the Setup Menu and choose Connect Masters
  2. From the Connect Masters dialog box, check the required Master(s)
  3. Next to the Default Master, select the drop-down arrow and choose UFGS
  4. Select OK

 

If Multiple Working Directories are used, Masters may be in a different location and may not appear on the list.  If this occurs, follow the steps below.

How to Connect Masters Not Located In A Connected Working Directory:

  1. From the SpecsIntact Explorer, select the Setup Menu and choose Connect Masters
  2. From the Connect Masters dialog box, select the Scan button
  3. When the Select Folder window opens, browse to the folder where the Master resides
  4. Select the Select Folder button
  5. When returned to the Connect Masters dialog box, check the desired Master(s)
  6. Select OK

 

Illustration Icon Indicating Helpful HintWhen the list contains a large number of Masters, use the scroll bars to select the newly scanned Master(s).

 

Illustration Icon Indicating Important Information To NoteIf there the Master has the same name but a different path, make sure to deselect the old path first, then select the Master with the correct path.
